Sunday 26th May 2013 – This mornings meeting included the enrolment of Gladys Mazani. Originally from Zimbabwe, Gladys has been a Christian for many years and grew up attending an Anglican Church. After moving to the UK she began attending the Kettering Corps and has recently decided to make The Salvation Army her Spiritual home. Friends of Gladys joined the congregation to support her and witness this special event. Following her enrolment, Gladys gave her testimony, beginning with a song, which she sang in her native language, Ndebele. Translated it said….
I do not ever worry because I am comforted by knowing that Jesus loves me. even when I am troubled I am comforted by knowing that Jesus loves me.
Later, joined by a group of her friends, they expressed their praise in true cultural style, singing and dancing…. There is no one like Jesus,We have searched, We have gone round, We have run around, But there is no one as great as Jesus.
It certainly was a lively morning service, enjoyed by all who attended.
