YP Prize-giving March 2015

Sunday 1st March 2015 – Today Kettering Corps celebrated the achievements and commitment of our young people with the Annual Prizegiving. The young people and their helpers took charge of the morning service based on the Psalms. Some of them had written their own ‘Psalm’ and read these during the meeting. The Rainbows and Brownies paraded their colors and took part during the meeting. The Singing Company & YP Band were on duty in the morning and the Learners Band played during the afternoon meeting.   The Kids Alive group performed as “Kids Aloud’, singing a song written by Charlie, who accompanied the group on the piano. Tabitha and Teresa sang beautifully during the offering accompanied by their brother on the piano and joined by their mum.  During the afternoon meeting, Kettering Mayor, Councillor Duncan Bain, presented the young folk with their prizes.  Well done to everyone for a special day.  Kettering Corps are so privileged to have such a fantastic group of young people and you did us proud today.
