The 2015 Toy Service at Kettering Salvation Army was the start of the Christmas season for many who attended. The children, as usual, stole the show with a superb production of the Nativity story, worked into a play around other Christmas traditions. Reminding us that Christmas is much more than Santa, presents and parties. The newly formed timbrel group performed for the first time, and not only played well but looked very festive in their cloaks and tinsel. Well done to Karen and her helpers for bringing this very traditional Salvation Army instrument back to life at Kettering. During the service, those in attendance were able to give their gifts which will be used later in the month when they will be included in the hampers which are distributed to families in need this year.
